Hi Signs

Designing for People First
The challenge was to guide visitors through a narrative that spans decades while keeping navigation accessible. We developed a clear spatial hierarchy, using bold visual cues, strategically placed directional signage, and consistent environmental graphics to keep guests oriented without breaking the immersive experience.

Our environmental graphic design standards for the exhibit integrated ATB’s brand identity with a unique palette of colors, patterns, and textures that reflect Alberta’s spirit. Placemaking elements, interpretive displays, and integrated signage were designed as one system ensuring every touchpoint, from large feature walls to small artifact labels, felt part of the same narrative.

Visitors move naturally through stories of ATB’s beginnings during the Great Depression, its commitment to rural communities, and its ongoing role in shaping Alberta’s economy. A rough timeline and major chapters in ATB’s growth helps to organize the exhibit into understandable spaces, and layered storytelling elements keep curiosity alive from start to finish.
The new ATB Museum now serves as a welcoming space for team members, clients, and the community. It not only safeguards ATB’s history but enhances the day-to-day experience of visitors turning a lobby into a place of learning, connection, and pride.

The museum provides a meaningful way for ATB to share its history, values, and role in Alberta’s story.
