Standing 30 storeys tall at the corner of Bay and King Streets, the residence houses over 644 graduate students and their families. The design redefines student housing by emphasizing the importance of community spaces and the impact of well-crafted living areas. The building’s inviting common areas creates a balanced lifestyle, while the carefully curated living spaces are both functional and welcoming, offering a variety of accommodations to meet diverse needs.
Bringing Spaces to Life Through Shapes and Colours
Entro collaborated closely with Knightstone Capital and McMaster University to develop and shape the branded identity for McMaster’s Graduate Residence. Our team developed place branding and signage, incorporating McMaster’s signature maroon and gold into the building’s identity. We carefully designed the font for the floor numbers and exterior signage, inspired by the building’s multifaceted architectural elements. Each floor was given its own distinct colour scheme, allowing for easy identification and contributing to the residence’s vibrant atmosphere.
The interior design of 10 Bay is a reflection of the energy and dynamic lives of the students who live there. We used shapes and dimensionality as creative tools to bring life to the building, making spaces feel open, bright, and conducive to student life.

10 Bay marks our fourth collaboration with Knightstone, following the success of Parkside Student Residence, Campus1 MTL, and CampusOne TO.
