Where Black Art Lives: The Re-Opening of the Studio Museum in Harlem
After years of anticipation, the museum reopens on November 15, 2025, marking an exciting new chapter not only for Harlem but for art lovers everywhere.
Since its founding in 1968, the Studio Museum has stood as a cornerstone of Black creativity. It’s a space where Black art, culture, and community come together to inspire, challenge, and celebrate one another. From early-career artists to world-renowned figures, the museum has nurtured voices that have redefined contemporary art and culture.
Now, in a stunning new home designed by Adjaye Associates in collaboration with Cooper Robertson, the museum is returning to Harlem’s historic 125th Street—an address that has long symbolized identity, activism, and art.
Whether you’re standing inside the galleries or walking by on the street, the museum’s presence reminds us that representation matters and that creativity can be a source of healing and pride.
Entro’s Role: Designing a Digital Experience Rooted in Connection
Entro developed a comprehensive digital strategy to enhance visitor engagement, accessibility, and exploration.
The digital displays communicate key information in a compelling and accessible way. The system highlights exhibitions and artist features, supports donor and membership opportunities, and offers wayfinding assistance while integrating with the Museum’s mission. The digital signage reflects the Museum’s visual language while being adaptable to changing content needs.
Combining thoughtful design with technology, it became an integral part of the Museum’s communication and visitor experience.

Connect with our team to explore how thoughtful design and technology can elevate your visitor experience.
