Western Sydney International Airport

Sydney, Australia

Project

Entro is designing the wayfinding program for the new Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) Airport as part of the Multiplex team. Drawing on Australia’s natural beauty, the region’s rich Aboriginal heritage and strong sustainability principles, the final design of the Airport will result in a terminal that offers passengers an experience unrivalled among Australian airports.

Sustainable principles have been considered with passive design principles drawing on natural light and airflows to provide superior energy efficiency and reduce carbon emissions.

The wayfinding design combines bespoke forms reflective of the Terminal architecture with simple and intuitive messaging principles to ensure passengers have a stress-free, seamless airport experience. From the landscaped forecourt through to the gates overlooking the airfield, our scope encompasses the full passenger journey across both Arrivals and Departures.

Western Sydney International is on track to begin international and domestic passenger services and air cargo flights in late 2026.
