SUNY COLLEGE OF OPTOMETRY

SUNY wanted a new look. Their newly renovated College of Optometry NYC lobby needed an uplift, and we were inspired by Kliment & Halsband’s architecture: angular ceilings that demanded big, bold graphics. Refracted light inspired the dramatic graphic gestures, and color palettes are born of the logos for the three schools within the college.

This 3,000 sf reception area for the University Eye Center serves 70,000 patients annually. Contrast, readability, and proportion were key considerations, along with eliminating obstructions (like free-standing and stanchion signs), as our dramatic graphics met the crtical practicality of patient safety.
