SICKKIDS

Project

Entro designed a donor recognition program, environmental graphics, and a signage system to echo the stunning architecture of the SickKids Peter Gilgan Centre for Research and Learning.

The glass donor wall, designed by Entro, not only serves as a beautiful contrast to the wooden interior of the lobby, it acts as a donor-recognition wall, displaying names of individual benefactors and groups within a grid system.

The wall treatments spanning three stories capture scientific themes in abstract, artistic forms and connect with different research areas: Brain Research, Cancer Stem Cells Biology, and Genetic Diseases. The scientific images of brain cells, genomic patterns, and cancer cells were interpreted as artistic abstractions, printed on vinyl and applied to the curved walls.
