Mississauga, Ontario

Founded in 1985, Riverwood occupies 150-acres in central Mississauga. The property, co-owned by the City of Mississauga and Credit Valley Conservation, features gardens, a visual arts centre, heritage buildings, forests, meadowlands, wetlands, wildlife habitats, and public use nature trails.

Entro designed a wayfinding and interpretive signage program to compliment this natural environment. To encourage ongoing support and community use, Entro introduced donor recognition opportunities throughout the property.

The signage was comprised of a combination of materials, including wood, concrete, and brightly coloured metal. Simple typography and illustrative animal pictograms were chosen for signage identification, creating a peaceful and friendly tone.

The signage program has been applauded for being complementary and respectful, and for generating renewed appeal for Riverwood.
