RIVERS CASINO AND RESORT

Schenectady, New York

Project

After a $450 million private investment to revitalize the land of one of the oldest brownfields in the United States, Rivers Casino and Resort, owned by Rush Street Gaming, is an integral part of a mixed-use development that will help to attract tourists, raise employment and increase revenue for the city.

Rivers Casino and Resort at Mohawk Harbor in Schenectady, New York, is a LEED-certified, full-service casino with up to 1,150 slot machines and approximately 66 table games and restaurants, lounges and banquet facilities, a 150-room hotel, spa, riverfront trails and public outdoor spaces.

To create a wayfinding program for this complex and lively area, Entro collaborated with Klai Juba Wald Architects and interior design firm Cleo Design. Beyond moving guests throughout the casino and resort with ease, our vision was to contribute to the excitement and vibe of this revitalized place and to promote the discovery, use and enjoyment of all the available amenities and features.

We worked closely with the interior design team to finalize a palette of colours and finishes. As the design of the inside areas of Rivers Casino and Resort is quite elaborate, we created a look and feel for signage that would complement rather than compete. The wood, dark bronze laminates and white backlit text created a consistent visual language throughout the entire property (including the hotel).

Overall, the wayfinding program reinforces the brand of Rivers Casino and Resort as a renowned entertainment destination and contributes to an exciting and memorable experience for guests.
