When Public Health Ontario (PHO) moved to their new home at MaRS, Entro was tasked with creating an engaging branded environment and wayfinding system.

The combination of luminous sign material, abstract dot patterns of bacterial forms, and vertical translucent gels impart a vibrancy to what could otherwise be a bland laboratory space.

Special tribute was given to the late Dr. Low via a large-scale photo rendered in a dot pattern, along with milestones of his life and work, for his role in the SARS crisis.

To support wayfinding and differentiation from floor to floor, we colour coded each of the four levels. The colours translate into the room signage as well as the different hues of translucent gels, which are applied in vertical stripes to the glass partitions in offices and meeting rooms.
