O'Hare Airport Concourse

Chicago, IL

Project

Entro is currently working to design the signage and wayfinding program for a major expansion of Chicago’s O’Hare Airport.

Led by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM), the project consists of new satellite concourses, measuring 1.2 million square feet. The buildings will be spacious, featuring glass walls, pale wooden interiors, and rounded, double-height ceilings with slatted elements that will absorb sound and soften the contemporary aesthetic. The concourse is designed to incorporate nature, with plenty of natural light and enclosed green space that will allow passengers to go outside but remain in the secure zone of the airport. This vibrant, people-centred hub will also feature a number of amenities to ease the stress of travel and create a comfortable environment.
