Mirvish Village

Toronto, ON

Project

Entro is currently designing the experiential wayfinding and graphics program for Mirvish Village, a new development by Westbank on the former site of Honest Ed’s. This large-scale project will see 5 new multi-storey mixed use buildings and twenty-four heritage buildings conserved across the site. Markham Street will be restored and re-landscaped as a pedestrian-first street with vibrant restaurants, boutiques, generous patios, trees, public seating, and a new public park. In addition, 4 levels of underground parking allow for ease of movement between buildings and amenities.

We envision a holistic design approach that considers the inside and the outside as a cohesive experience, one that celebrates the memories of this beloved place. Combining history and a vision for the future, our goal is to create genuine and meaningful expressions throughout the space all the while enabling visitors to learn about and locate destinations within the neighborhood. We are planning holistically and designing with zones in mind as the project will be phased over many years.

In addition to developing design solutions for the site as a whole, Entro is also working with some of the key tenants of the site including Niagara College and the Toronto School of Management who are leasing 45,000 square feet across three buildings. Entro is working with Niagara College to develop exterior and interior signage for this new permanent campus location along with an environmental graphic design program aimed at creating a dynamic and inspiring learning environment for students.
