CIBC Square

Toronto, ON

Project

Entro is currently designing the wayfinding program for CIBC SQUARE, a new pair of skyscrapers in Toronto’s downtown core.

Ivanhoé Cambridge and Hines are collaborating on this ambitious project, which will add approximately 3.0 million square feet of commercial space to Bay Street. Designed by Wilkinson Eyre, the two towers of CIBC SQUARE will stand at 49 storeys and 50 storeys, and be connected by a one-acre elevated park that will span over the rail corridor to link the towers four floors above street level. Pedestrian bridges will connect CIBC SQUARE directly to Union Station and Scotiabank Arena and the project integrates GO Transit’s new downtown bus terminal. With energy-efficient design and a people-centred approach, the buildings are pursuing a Platinum LEED certification and WELL Building Standard.

The first of the two towers is to be completed in 2021, and the second is expected to be completed in 2024. Read more about the project here.
