Centre Block

Ottawa, Ontario

Project

Entro is thrilled to be a member of the CENTRUS team, an HOK and WSP joint venture leading the design for the conservation, renovation and expansion of historic Centre Block, Canada’s main parliament building located in Ottawa. Emerging from two decades of planning, this is the largest heritage rehabilitation ever undertaken in Canada.

Entro is developing the wayfinding and signage strategy for the building’s interior spaces and surrounding grounds, based on National Capital Commission (NCC) standards.

The renovation of the Beaux Arts building, one of Canada’s leading tourist destinations, will result in a carbon-neutral building with modernized grounds, new building and digital systems, seismic upgrades, improved accessibility, and a new Parliament Welcome Centre.

Centre Block is home to Canada’s Senate, House of Commons, Library of Parliament, and the Memorial Chamber, which commemorates Canadians who gave their lives in military service.
