Second in size to the Summer Olympics, the 15th Asian Games brought together over 10,000 athletes from 45 countries in Doha, Qatar. Entro created a wayfinding program with 80,000 signs for the 15-day competition, which featured 423 events across 38 state-of-the-art venues.
Entro worked closely with Fitch, who designed the identity for the Asian Games, to create a signage system that would fit within the context of their visual language while providing the clear legibility necessary for wayfinding. To understand how both English and Arabic messages needed to change on a daily basis, we worked closely with the venue managers and went through a rigorous approval process.
Working with the Doha Asian Games Organizing Committee (DAGOC), Entro established a Doha-based office to manage a Middle Eastern team of fabricators, printers, and installers to implement the wayfinding program over a 10-month period.
