Entro is thrilled to be working with Diamond Schmitt Architects and KWC Architects on a new facility that will house both the Ottawa Public Library and the Library and Archives of Canada (OPL-LAC). The $192.9 million building will offer 200,000 square feet of shared space, bringing together collections, exhibit and event space. The organizations’ vision for the OPL-LAC joint facility is that it will serve as a meeting place, where visitors can connect with each other and with the place itself. The OPL-LAC joint facility, currently slated to open in 2024, will overlook the Ottawa River and will be accessible by transit and pedestrian/bike paths that serve its community.
