A History of Leadership, A Future of Growth for TCS

Story

Trinity College School (TCS) is a leading independent boarding / day school located in Port Hope, Ontario. With a history that pre-dates confederation, TCS has a reputation for excellence and leadership. Between its senior and junior schools, ranging from grades 5 through 12, TCS boasts nearly 600 students. In collaboration with TCS, Entro developed a minimalist campus wayfinding program & donor recognition program that references the school’s history in a modern style.

The main lobby of the newly built Learning Commons sets the tone for the wayfinding where the school’s mission is displayed prominently using elegant typography. In keeping with TCS brand colours, signage uses solid bands of grey and maroon with a layered effect for dimension, overlaid with white text and graphics. Donor-specific signage is made unique with silver background and a multi-tonal maroon metallic accent band that adds texture and jewelry-like shimmer. The TCS crest is applied to subtle effect on all room signage, quietly affirming the school’s history of excellence.

The wayfinding is part of a larger initiative of building a sustainable future for the school and continuing TCS’s mission of “Developing habits of the heart and mind for a life of purpose and service.”
