SEGD - Chapter Chair Cynthia Damar-Schnobb

July 12, 2019

Story

Since 1990, Entro has been part of the Society for Experiential Graphic Design (SEGD), leading the local Toronto chapter, collaborating with multidisciplinary design professionals and actively supporting the vision to create experiences that connect people to place. This year we are a proud recipient of two awards from SEGD: The 2019 Global Design Award (Merit Award) for our work with Snøhetta on Calgary Central Library, and the SEGD Achievement Award (Chapter Chair Award) awarded to Entro Partner Cynthia Damar-Schnobb.

The SEGD Chapter Chair Award recognizes outstanding volunteer efforts and contributions to the direction, growth, strength and excellence of SEGD Chapters both locally and throughout the organization. SEGD recognizes Cynthia for "spearheading the growth and development of Toronto’s experiential design community - through organization of large, record-breaking attendances - while promoting SEGD to new audiences. She has been instrumental in formalizing many of the processes that Chapters across the international organization use today". Cynthia served as a Chapter Chair for the Toronto Chapter from 2013-2019, and believes that "a good chapter chair should really look at the opportunities to bring the design community together to encourage collaboration between firms. The Speakers Series events have inspired design firms to continuously raise the bar and this is how we want our design community to grow".
