Royal St. George’s College is an urban boy’s school dedicated to academic excellence and facilitating personal growth, in Toronto’s historic Annex area. As part of the College’s renovation of their dining hall, Entro proposed a solution for a series of quotes that would be used to enliven the space.
We applied the quotes across the ceiling beams, on both the face and the underside, in an elegant type with pleasing contrast to create a subtle, yet memorable effect. Drawing upon the innate curiosities of the viewer, the quotes reveal themselves as one looks upwards and across the ceiling beams.
The quotes are intended to serve as subtle reminders of the qualities and aspirations that are encouraged by the school for each individual.
