Entro Principal Creative Director Udo Schliemann takes us on a journey through time as he tells the compelling story of the on-again, off-again relationship between colour and architecture, in The Right Angle Journal’s Summer 2019 issue. From ancient Greece through to the present, Udo traces how social, cultural, political, and geographical factors have impacted how sparsely or abundantly colour has been applied to built environments in the West. He also shares his thoughts about the role of colour on our psychological experience of a space, and the challenges we face in applying colour to architecture today.
