CAMH’s Emergency Department is Unveiled

Story

The unveiling of CAMH’s revitalized psychiatric emergency department met a much anticipated and positive reception earlier this month. Entro’s role involved the design of the department’s grand entrance.

As a leader in mental health care, CAMH’s 24/7 psychiatric emergency department at 250 College St. responds to the growing need for specialized care in Toronto and Ontario. The department’s revitalization is attributed largely to the generosity of Gerald Sheff & Shanitha Kachan, who gave gift of $2.5M to the project. Our design for the grand entrance pays homage to Sheff & Kachan. The donor’s names are set in stainless steel letters above the department identifier and contrasted with a vibrant purple. The purple wall not only reflects the CAMH brand, but also the vibrancy and passion that form the core of the organization.
