Environmental Graphics with Lasting Impact

Story

Archigraphia Redux, published by Graphis, explores 21st century architectural, environmental and experiential graphic design. In it, Pentagram Partner Paula Scher elaborates on the impact of environmental graphics in bringing drama and spirit to public spaces. We are proud that our work on the Pan Am Aquatics Centre and Field House is featured in this design resource. The Centre was a premiere venue during the 2015 Pan Am / Parapan Am Games, hosting a wealth of events (swimming, diving, pentathlon, etc.). Our comprehensive environmental graphics program incorporated large-scale wall treatments (supergraphics) in unity with a comprehensive wayfinding system. Archigraphia Redux is available from Graphis in February (2017).

This past summer, the Pan Am Aquatic Centre was also featured on the CBC’s digital series “Disrupting Design.” The series focuses on innovative design in Canada, with a bent towards industrial, urban and graphic design. View it at the following: goo.gl/8WWL8O
