Business Development Lead – Entro USA

 

Our New York Office is seeking a seasoned team member with experience leading business development efforts that are strategically aligned with broader business objectives, ultimately driving revenue growth, and bolstering our brand’s success, with a critical focus on expanding our presence in the USA market. This will be a new role in the New York office with parallel roles already established in the Toronto and West Coast – Canada (Vancouver and Calgary) offices.

Entro’s 80 plus-person global team includes individuals with backgrounds in graphic and industrial design, fine arts, neuroscience, architecture, project management, engineering, and media. Our work gives places identity and meaning; it makes complex places navigable; and reveals the stories of places from hospitals and transportation systems to museums, educational campuses, and throughout city centers. Our work has shaped peoples’ experiences of destinations around the world.

 

Responsibilities

 

As the Entro USA Business Development Lead you will:

  • Report directly to the Partners within the New York office
  • Collaborate closely with the Canadian Office Business Development Leads, Partners, Associates, Studio Directors, Creative Directors, and senior staff to bolster Business
    Development goals and align Business Development efforts with the company’s overall sales targets
  • USA Market Expansion: Develop and strengthen our USA presence. Evaluate and prioritize market prospects, with a strong emphasis on enhancing our team and operations in the USA to drive growth and expand our footprint in the USA market
  • Conduct market research to identify industry trends, client preferences, and competitive landscapes to inform business development strategies
  • Research, cultivate, and establish partnerships with external organizations, clients, design associations, and community groups
  • Identify and actively pursue strategic partnership opportunities that align with the company’s long-term growth plans
  • Actively participate in outreach efforts including serving as Entro representative at events, conferences, and meetings
  • Manage the USA marketing budget, with a focus on cost-effective strategies that maximize the return on investment for all marketing and Business Development initiatives
  • Support global coordination and implementation of business development, sales, marketing and communications strategies and efforts including but not limited to:
    • Marketing and communications efforts: social media presence, website content, awards submissions, thought leadership opportunities including generation of unique content (i.e., articles, webinars, salon discussions, white papers) and abstracts for speaking engagements, sponsorship, networking and conference participation, professional organization representation, public relations efforts, etc.
    • Sales efforts: monitor pipeline, manage project pursuit opportunity outreach process, evaluate and research potential opportunities, pursue and lead outreach efforts, generate, facilitate, and participate in business development presentations
    • Proposal efforts: vet RFP/RFQ/RFIs, support Proposal Team with the strategic direction proposals to ensures production of compelling content, as well as participate actively in the writing and assembly of proposals and proposal assets when needed

 

Qualifications

 

You are a Business Development Lead who is/has:

  • Post-secondary degree, college diploma, and/or recognized experience in business, communications, journalism, design administration, or equivalent
  • Strategic and commercially minded, with a minimum of 6+ years of experience in BD and marketing
  • Previous experience in design, architecture, or engineering firm setting an asset
  • A natural leader with an entrepreneurial mindset, continuously bringing fresh ideas on BD, growth, and industry trends (a builder-maker mentality)
  • Proven experience as a strategic leader in business development, with a track record of successfully scaling and expanding businesses
  • Excellent at working collaboratively across teams and building relationships
  • Possess strong strategic thinking and planning skills, with an analytical and data-driven mindset
  • Ability to think and operate at a “strategic level” while also driving execution on a “tactical level” with a willingness to roll up sleeves
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Computer literacy and good working knowledge of MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite including: InDesign, Keynote, etc.
  • Literacy in Deltek / Vantagepoint considered an asset
