The Southlake Regional Health Centre Foundation commissioned a donor recognition installation at the hospital to acknowledge the generosity of its donors.
Parkin Architects designed the Hospital’s Chapel as a “tower of light” in glass and wood, soaring three storeys high. Entro capitalized on this focal piece and “The Circle of Hope” became the ‘canvas’ for donor recognition. To maintain privacy within the Chapel, fossil leaf patterns were incorporated as a diffusing layer behind the glazing, onto which the donor recognition components were applied.
While privacy is provided, the solution does not interrupt the flow of light deemed so important by the client. Together with Parkin Architects, we created a place where patients, families and friends could sit in quiet contemplation, apart from the bustle of the rest of the hospital.
The whole complements the healthcare facility's signage and wayfinding program also developed by Entro.
