Ryerson SLC an Inspired Space for Students

Story

Ryerson University’s Student Learning Centre (SLC) is a student inspired space for study, work and the sharing of ideas. Situated at the corner of Yonge and Gould Streets, the SLC boasts stunning architecture and a sleek, modern design. Entro developed a signage and wayfinding program to harmonize with the SLC’s overall design aesthetic.

A series of supergraphics in vibrant colours enliven the stairwells, taking their cue from the colours established on each floor. Minimalist signage complements the building’s themed spaces and communicates the Ryerson brand through colour and typography. The main entrance is adorned with the RU logo, a neon inspired installation that is a nod to the former, iconic Sam The Record Man sign. The neutral, flexible space at the SLC allows students to engage how they see fit, a fundamental principle in the building’s creation.
